American Express Launches payment service Amex Express Checkout
American Express announced fast and secure way for Americans to check out at participating Internet merchants by using existing americanexpress.com account login.
New Amex Express Checkout allows clients to use their User ID and Password. The system auto-fills checkout fields with AmEx Card details and other account information in few clicks. New payment service is not a wallet, it does not require a person to create a new account. Buyers can use Amex Express Checkout online at Burberry, BarkBox, Sabon, Ledbury, Newegg, Warby Parker, Ticketmaster and The WallStreetJournal.
AmEx works with Stripe to allow merchants (that use Stripe as a payment platform) to simply enable new payment service for their customers. In the coming months Amex Express Checkout will be available on websites for Banana Republic, Avis CarRental, Cole Haan, Old Navy, Gap, Hulu, Intermix, Rocketmiles, POPSUGAR MustHave and others.
Card Member's account data is transferred to merchants through a special token for safer transactions than online checkout. Clients that practice new payment service get the same offers, benefits and service that provides their Card Membership.
Thus, AmEx Express Checkout becomes a new way to make online purchases quickly and securely by using your americanexpress.com account login and password. Client can confirm/edit information on merchant site before he/she submits an order.
